Benzema stirs up controversy with France
Even though Karim Benzema could in theory be in the final against Argentina if Didier Deschamps saw it fit, the striker is not planning to travel to Qatar. He did not take well what the French manager said about him going to the last game of the World Cup, and not to the the French Football Federation's seemingly lack of interest of him being there either.
As days have passed, this dispute got larger and larger. However, the French striker took it upon himself to stir it up on his personal Instagram account: "I'm not interested in that", he posted.
Of course, it is a cryptic message and what is more, it is not directed at Deschamps or the high-up people of the French side, but it is, without a doubt, interesting and noticable.
It is worth remembering that French president Emmanuel Macron invited Benzema to the final with Kante and Paul Pogba, who got injured before the tournament.
