Krovinovic started his career at Dinamo Zagreb. where he played for four seasons. In the penultimate one he stood out with 36 matches in which he scored three goals and gave two assists. He went to Rio Ave before signing for Benfica.
He cost 3.5 million euros and up to now, he has not managed to show his value. In his first campaign, he played 19 matches. In the last two years, he played less and less and this season, he made just three appearances.
The club do not want to lose him becasue they are confident he will get back to his best. Therefore, they have given him the opportunity to shine at West Brom, who welcome him with open arms for one season.
The Baggies' sporting director, Luke Dowling, praised him: "Filip is an energetic player who is going to represent this club and everyone is delighted to have him with us, especially Slaven Bilic. It's brilliant that he has come to start the pre-season in Spain. The trip will help to keep him fit like his teammates."
