Erling Haaland is one of the players of the year. His spectacular performances for Borussia Dortmund and the fact the club may not make the Champions League next season mean the Norwegian has the perfect opportunity to leave the club earlier than expected.
Many clubs are dreaming of signing him this summer. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man City. All of them are waiting to go out on the attack for him. The price tag is the main usse, but Bayern Munich, currently dark horses, are planning a different way to try and sign the Norwegian star.
According to the 'Daily Mail', the Bavarians are trying to sign Haaland in summer 2022, not thus summer. They are confident that Dortmund will be able to keep him in the squad until then despite the big money offers which have come in for him.
Bayern Munich's plan is to make Haaland the 'new Lewandowski'. For him to take over the baton from the Polish striker, whose contract expires in 2023, and to have a long career at the Allianz Arena as well as dominate Bundesliga.
The newspaper also talks about a potential buyout clause next season of around 75 million euros.
