Bayern confirm Ribery exit

Franck Ribery will leave Bayern Munich when his contract expires at the end of the season, the club have confirmed.

Rummenigge has released a statement on the news: "Franck & Arjen are brilliant players. Bayern has a massive amount to thank them for, and it will be a magnificent and emotional farewell. They have shaped Bayern's most successful decade with their fantastic football."

Franck Ribery follows in Arjen Robben's footsteps, who will also leave Bayern at the end of the season.

"It's mad that I've been here for 12 years", said Ribery, on his departure.

"When I came to Bayern, it was a dream come true. It won't be easy to say goodbye, but we must never forget what we've achieved together. We've won so much together - more than 20 honours."
