Despite the economic crisis as a result of the COVID-19 crisis, this summer transfer window will be very busy at a Barcelona which need major changes to their squad after a season to forget.
With a presumably large number of players leaving the club, the Catalans will look to try and make a major signing to make fans happy again and improve the quality of the squad ahead of next season.
Out of all the names being linked with the club, there are two players who stand out above everyone else: Neymar (PSG) and Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan).
Josep Maria Bartomeu, the Barcelona president, spoke this Tuesday in an interview given to 'Barca TV' to analyse the possible arrival of the duo at the Camp Nou in the near future.
The president, after emphasising the club's current financial situation, said it was almost impossible for the Brazilian to return to the Camp Nou. "We wanted to sign him last summer, but his club refused. Neymar is not for sale, it's the truth. It's normal PSG don't want to sell him," he said.
Getting Lautaro is more feasible and Bartomeu himself confirmed that he has been in talks with Inter Milan for some time. "We were in talks with Inter for Lautaro. We were talking, but we decided to stop them when the competition returned. Now we'll see what happens, what the new coaching staff's plan is...," he concluded.
