Barcelona won't know if they can make signings until January

The transfer window is to open shortly, and despite Barcelona wanting to make the most of it, they still do not know if they will be able to. Uncertainty is everywhere in the Camp Nou at the moment.

Xavi has already realised that he may have to play the rest of the 2022-23 season with what he has left in his squad. It is feared that the financial situation will prevent the club from signing new players.

For now, Barca do not know if they will be able to get reinforcements in in January. Xavi has asked for a right-back, and a midfielder who plays in different positions, who could play as a normal midfielder or defensively.

Barcelona sporting director, Jordi Cruyff recently spoke about the transfer window, and seemed fairly pessimistic about it. "If we can't, we can't...", he said about possible signings. Whatever happens, until La Liga update their 'Financial Fair Play' rules for Barca, they will carry on being unsure about it all at the Catalan side.
