Barcelona club president, Josep Maria Bartomeu has revealed that they were in dicussions with Juventus concerning Pogba in the summer of 2015, regarding a potential transfer.
“In the summer of 2015 Paul Pogba was playing in Turin and we simply told Juve that, if one day they decide to sell the player, we would be interested."
Juventus subsequently did decide to sell the Frenchman but for a price that Barcelona simply were not prepared to fork out. As a result, he made his way to the Premier League to play for Manchester United.
Bartomeu is reliving the same situation in the current season as Manchester United's suggested price is even further out of their budget, at £90million.
