It's been a transfer saga that has rumbled on for the majority of last season, but reports in Spain suggest it could be edging toward a conclusion.
'Los Cules' have made no secret of their desire to sign Griezmann and are keen to get the deal done soon with his release clause set to rise from £87million to £175m on July 1.
This means the French striker must decide his future soon otherwise Barca could be forced to look at alternative options.
However, Griezmann has given all indications that he will do that anyway as he has previously stated that he will clarify his future before the start of the World Cup on June 14.
The Catalan club's hierarchy therefore remain confident of landing their top transfer target but rumours of a bumper new Atletico extension could be the only spanner in the works.
