Barca to pay City extra 1.2 million for Ferran should they qualify for Champions League

Despite most of the focus being on Aubameyang, Ferran Torres has also made an important impact at Barcelona since the two joined the club in January. He has already scored seven goals and made five assists in his 16 games as an 'Azulgrana'.

The official transfer agreement with City was settled at 55 million euros. However, a series of clauses and variables were written into the contract that could see this figure reach 65 million. 'The Sun' has revealed one of these conditions.

According to the cited source, the Catalan club will have to pay an extra 1.2 million euros should they achieve Champions League status for next season. Only a catastrophy would prevent this from happening considering Barca are still in the Europa League and within the qualification places in La Liga. 

As well as this variable, 'Marca' has hypothesised that other conditions could be concerning whether Barca win the Champions League with Ferran or if the ex Valencia man wins the Balon d'Or. Another more probable condition would be whether or not he plays in 70% of Barca's matches.
