Recently arriving from Ajax, Frenkie de Jong is already standing out at Barca because of his quality. He has only played 10 matches, but that is more than enough for him to justify why Barca signed him in the summer.
With a goal and an assist, De Jong has already started to give Ernesto Valverde reasons to start him, but that is not the only thing the 22-year old stands out in.
Apparently he also stands out in training, beating the rest of his teammates in many fitness tests which the club make the players do this year.
According to the newspaper 'AS', the Dutchman is the most resistant, recovers the best after training, has the best aerial ability, has the most touches of the ball and covers the most distance out of all the team.
The newspaper already mentioned that Barca coaching staff are stunned by his fitness: "He has the characteristics of a total athlete, with a privileged physique, he could participate in the Olympic Games in medium and long-distance races. He doesn't look like it, but he is a physical powerhouse, a beast".
