Fluminense have confirmed that 20-year-old defender Marlon will join Barcelona on a season-long loan with the option to buy at the end of the season.
Marlon will play for Barcelona's B team in the 2016-17 season and will cost the Catalan giants €6 million should they decide to sign him on a permanent deal.
The fee will rise to €8 million should the defender play for the Barcelona's senior team and if he makes five or more appearances, Barca will be obliged to buy Marlon.
He has been dubbed as the "next Thiago Silva" and has played six times for Brazil's U-20 side.
The deal was confirmed by Fluminense sporting director Jorge Macedo, who said: "He was loaned to Barcelona for a year with a purchase option until July 2017."
Only time will tell to see if he turns out just like Thiago Silva!
