The club reported on Monday that the 31-year-old from Rosario, has played his 200th game for Sevilla against Real Madrid on Sunday.
The Argentian internationalst arrived at Sevilla from Newells Old Boys in 2014-15 with Unai Emery at the helm. Emery had already been Banega's manager previously at Valencia.
With a spell at Inter Milan sandwiched in between (2016-17), Banega has played under five managers at Sevilla besides Emery: Eduardo Berizzo, Vincenzo Montella, Joaquín Caparrós, Pablo Machín, and currently Julen Lopetegui.
Banega has joined the 200 club which includes Federico Fazio (the last player to achieve the feet), Javi Navarro, Dani Alves, Pep Marí, Jesús Navas, Renato Dirnei, Andrés Palop, Adriano Correia, Luis Fabiano, Julien Escudé, Frederic Kanouté, Fernando Navarro and the late José Antonio Reyes.
The Argentine, who has scored 25 times for Sevilla, has also won the 2014-15 Europa League in Warsaw against Dnipro, and the 2015-16 edition against Liverpool in Basel whilst at the club.
