In Baku, the host of the controversial Europa League final between Arsenal and Chelsea, you cannot wear a Mkhitaryan shirt without controversy.
Despite the fact UEFA pointed out that the footballer wuld not have problems in playing in the encounter, Mkhitaryan decided not to travel. The Gunners are thinking of selling him this summer, but it unknown whether the two situations are linked.
In any case, the images which 'SNTV' show are concernings. In them, you can see the Azerbaijani police stopping and identifying a couple of Arsenal fans who are wearing a Mkhitaryan top.
Neither of the pair are arrested in the end. In fact, they carry on with their walk, but it is a good example of the political undertones which the Europa League final has taken on. The venue for the final has upset both Arsenal and Chelsea.
UEFA did not allow Arsenal's footballers to wear his name on the back of their shirts for Wednesday's Europa League final. A final which has been dominated by off the field issues.
