Atletico failed signing Javi Guerra back to training with Valencia

21-year-old Javi Guerra, a Spain youth international, was given permission by Valencia not to go to the Paterna training complex on Wednesday morning. After he had worked out on the sidelines in the gym on Tuesday, the club understood that the three parties to the negotiations had reached an agreement for him to leave for Atletico Madrid.

However, on Wednesday morning, the Valencian side, which had given for closed the deal, as explained to 'EFE' sources close to the operation, required the club 'Colchonero' the signing of the agreement. But this did not arrive, which completely halted the deal and paralysed the Valencian's trip to the Spanish capital.

Guerra returned to the Paterna training complex at around 6pm CEST, where the 'Che' team held the second session of Wednesday from 7.30pm CEST, as Ruben Baraja works on the last week of pre-season.

In addition to Guerra, Baraja also had goalkeeper Jaume Domenech, who is still recovering from the injury that forced him to undergo surgery last May and who is already working on the pitch with Jose Manuel Ochotorena, the club's goalkeeping coach.

The Valladolid coach, who is preparing the last pre-season match against Eintracht Frankfurt, also counted on centre-back Yarek Gasiorowski, after joining the team after winning the U19 European Championship with the Spanish national team.
