Neymar turned 27 at the beginning of February, and Arthur, his friend and teammate in the Brazil national team, did not miss the event of the year in Paris. But it was only two days before El Clasico, and despite being injured, Arthur has admitted his guilt at attending.
"Yes, I think I was wrong. These things happen in life, sometimes you are wrong and sometimes you guess. I wanted to go, but I know my responsibilities. I knew what I'd done, but I said sorry if I had annoyed anyone," he admitted to the press.
"In recovering from my injury, I've received a lot of help from my friends and for that I am grateful. I'm also grateful to my supporting staff. I'm happy to have recovered. I will give my absolute best. I know that I need to improve as a person."
The central-midfielder emphasised that the 'blame' was on him, and said that he dreamed of matches like the one coming this Wednesday. He also spoke about Neymar's future, who has been incessantly linked with a move to Real Madrid of late.
"It's a decision for him to take - him and his family. I, as a friend, just want the best for him. And I don't know what he'll choose, whether he'll stay at PSG or go to another club," he commented.
