Arsenal v West Ham - as it happened
Thanks for joining me here tonight. See you tomorrow for more action.
FT: Arsenal 2-1 West Ham. And Arsenal get the win and their second of the season. A draw would have been a fair result but the Gunners win their first two matches.
Aubameyang has a shot straight at the keeper.
4 minutes added time.
West Ham sub: Masuaku off for Felipe Anderson.
Arsenal sub: Saka off for Luiz.
West Ham sub: Haller on for Fornals.
And Arsenal have done it. Saka plays Ceballos through who passes it across goal to Nektiah who taps it in the empty net. 2-1 Arsenal.
West Ham sub: Bowen off for Yarmolenko.
Kolasinac's cross just sums up Arsenal's evening. He hit it into row Z.
I really don't see any more goals coming. What a result this would be for West Ham.
Arsenal sub: Nketiah on for Lacazette.
Soucek has a shot from well out that goes wide.
West Ham actually deserve to be in front. They have been quite good.
And Antonio hits the bar. The ball comes in and he heads it off the woodwork. Dangerous territory for Arsenal.
Let's see if Pépé can offer Arsenal some attacking presence. They have only had one shot on target and it was the goal.
Arsenal sub: Pépé on for Willian.
Arsenal haven't really offered much this match.
Antonio gets a touch to the cross but Leno stops it on the goal-line. Almost 2-1 to West Ham.
Still no chances yet this half.
There hasn't been a 1-1 between these sides since 2001. Last time it happened in the league when Arsenal were at home was 1962.
And we're back.
HT: Arsenal 1-1 West Ham. Very few chances with a draw probably justifiable. All to play for in the second half.
And it won't be 1-0 now. The ball is played in the box and Antonio slides it in.
Antonio makes it 1-1!!!!!
Arsenal actually won the last match between these two 1-0 in March, and the scorer that day was... Lacazette.
There were some fans allowed back today in the English leagues. There have been rumours that up to 1000 fans will be back in the Premier League next month. I wonder if it is true.
It does look like Arsenal will be going in at the break 1-0 up.
Saka has a shot from just inside the box that goes over the bar. A decent chance.
Arsenal will be hoping that they can get a second to make things less nervy.
Saka plays through Aubameyang, he chips it into the box and Lacazette heads into the roof of the net. 1-0 Arsenal.
West Ham will be pleased that they haven't let Arsenal threaten.
Arsenal have to win this game as their next matches are against Liverpool, Sheffield United, Manchester City, Leicester, and Manchester United.
Still not any really good chances yet.
Still no chances for the Gunners yet.
Rice has a shot that is deflected wide.
First chance goes to the visitors but Ogbonna heads it straight at the keeper.
Arsenal have started quite well.
And we're off.
Thanks for joining me here tonight. See you tomorrow for more Premier League action.
Arsenal were really good in their first match. Let's see if they can make it two from two.
If Arsenal keep a clean sheet today, it will be the first time they have kept two clean sheets in their opening two Prem games since 2012. Last time they won both while doing so was in 1971-72...
Arsenal haven't lost at home to West Ham since 2015.
West Ham XI: Fabianski, Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Soucek, Rice, Bowen, Fornals, Masuaku, Antonio
Arsenal XI: Leno, Holding, Gabriel, Tierney, Bellerin, Ceballos, Xhaka, Saka, Willian, Lacazette, Aubameyang
Hello and welcome to the Emirates as Arsenal look to return to the top of the league. Team news to come.
