Arsenal beat Manchester City 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium thanks to a goal scored by Martinelli in the 86th minute. This victory put Arsenal ahead of Guardiola's team in the table and left them second with the same points as Tottenham who are in first place.
The price of victory came at a high cost for Mikel Arteta's side, this time in the form of an injury to Leandro Trossard. The Belgian had to be replaced by Martinelli at half-time due to hamstring injury.
The Belgian joins another significant injury to Bukayo Saka in the Gunners' attack. Both players were expected to join their national team training. The England player remains to be seen whether he will go to England but it looks like his team-mate Trossard will be left out of the Belgian national team.
The Belgians are top of Group F, level on points with Austria. Domenico Tedesco's side will face Austria and Sweden, who are in third place in the group, in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
