The Arsenal playmaker announced the deal with streaming site 'Twitch' via a post on his personal Instagram and Twitter pages on Wednesday. England star Dele Alli, an avid videogame fan, is among the stars already signed up as members to the service.
In the social media post, Ozil can be seen sat at a computer, posing with various pieces of merchandise, alongside the message: "'Thanks to Twitch for setting up my account today. Make sure to follow me on Twitch @mesutozil. First streams coming soon - stay tuned."
This is not the first time that Ozil has expressed his interest in videogames. He publicised the setting up of his own FIFA 19 side alongside eWorld Cup Champion Mosad Aldossary.

Ozil joins Tottenham Hotspur rival Dele Alli as a member of the streaming service.
Alli is no stranger to either social media or popular gaming trends; he was the latest celebrity to hop on the 'Fortnite' bandwagon earlier this year, using one of the battle-based game celebrations, after scoring for club Tottenham against Manchester United at Wembley last season. Alli also used a number of other celebrations from the vido game in subsequent fixtures, most notably after scoring in England's World Cup quarter-final against Colombia in Russia this summer.
Alli made his debut on 'Twitch' in April, where he broadcasted his progress on the popular video game.
