Arsenal agree personal terms with Norgaard as Partey contract talks stall

Amid uncertainty surrounding Thomas Partey's future, sources close to the deal claim that Christian Norgaard and Arsenal have agreed on personal contract terms.
The Danish midfielder has told Brentford of his desire to join the London club, which has accelerated negotiations between the two clubs. Talks are currently continuing to close the transfer for a fee of around 10 million euros after Arsenal's initial offer was not enough.
Norgaard, 31, is determined to make the move to the Gunners. Brentford, meanwhile, have already been informed of the player's desire and are considering how best to manage his departure.
Partey's situation remains unresolved as the Ghana international has failed to reach an agreement to renew his contract, which expires next week. Should an understanding not be reached, Partey will leave the club after four seasons in London.
Norgaard, whose contract with Brentford runs out in 2027, has established himself as a key player since his arrival in 2019, excelling under Thomas Frank, who now manages Tottenham.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are close to completing the signing of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea for his £5 million termination clause. The London club are also finalising the signing of Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi in a deal worth around £51m.
