Zinedine Zidane's son is fighting for promotion to La Liga. La Liga

Eibar's current goalkeeper, Luca Zidane, gave a press conference before facing Deportivo Alaves in the promotion play-off: "There are four teams, one goes up and you have to fight for it... My father hasn't given me any advice, he's simply told me to enjoy the moment".

Eibar goalkeeper Luca Zidane said on Thursday that his side "are ready" and all his players are "eager to achieve the objective" of promotion.

Zidane said this in a La Liga virtual call with a player from each team that has qualified for La Liga promotion play-offs: Levante, Deportivo Alaves, Eibar and Albacete.

"It's an important moment in the season and it's a nice moment. Our preparation is normal, we train as if it were just another league game to make it normal because we have to manage our nerves well," explained Zidane.

Finally, on whether he feels pressure for being Zinedine Zidane's son, Luca replied: "It's something I'm used to, with my brothers too, but I'm making my career. The career my father had and the one I'm trying to have are different. I invite people to watch my games and be able to give their opinion and judge without the surname behind it.

"My father has not given me any advice, he has simply told me, above all, to enjoy the moment, which is a very beautiful experience," he concluded.
