Edin Dzeko was in the perfect place at the perfect time to fire home a rebound and reduce Roma's deficit to Liverpool to just three goals in their Champions League clash.
Roma-Liverpool became the highest scoring Champions League semi-final tie thanks to a goal from Edin Dzeko in the 52nd minute.
A James Milner own-goal sandwiched between a Sadio Mano strike and a Georginio Wijnaldum header had put Liverpool 7-3 ahead on aggregate going into half-time.
However, the hosts were back within a three-goal margin thanks to their Bosnian striker.
Stephan El Shaarawy saw his shot saved by opposing goalkeeper Loris Karius, but the German could only parry it into the path of Dzeko who found the back of the net with a lifted strike to level the scores on the night at the Stadio Olimpico.
