Mane slotted home to dent Roma's final dreams

Roma were hoping to create another famous European comeback when they welcomed Liverpool to the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday night, needing to overturn another three-goal deficit.

However, their dreams of reaching the final in Kiev on March 26 took a significant blow in the early stages of the second leg as the 'Reds' were the first to break the deadlock.

With the defence standing off a charging Salah, the Egyptian forward had plenty of space to set up his team-mate with a diagonal through-ball into the box.

Mane needed no excuse to find the target, slotting the ball past Alisson to score his nineth goal in the Champions League this season.
