Georginio Wijnaldum broke his away-goal curse by netting a crucial second for Liverpool to put them ahead 7-3 on aggregate against Roma in the Champions League.

The Stadio Olimpico has seen an action-packed first half. Sadio Mane opened the scoring for the 'Reds' before the home side pegged one back through a comical James Milner own goal.

However, an unlikely hero bagged Liverpool's second of the game and with it scored his first away goal in any competition since moving to the Premier League in 2015.

Roma failed to clear the corner with Patrik Schick inadvertently heading the ball back towards his own goal, providing an unmarked Wijnaldum the simple task of heading it past Alisson from six yards.
