Alvaro Fernandez has a contract with SD Huesca until 30th June 2024, but that has not prevented him from entering the agenda of Espanyol, who want to sign the 24-year-old goalkeeper.
The Spanish goalkeeper has played this season on loan at Brentford, with whom he has made 16 official appearances and conceded 28 goals. And although they have an option to buy the Spanish goalkeeper, the English side will not execute it, so Alvaro will have to return to SD Huesca.
But the young goalkeeper's fee is unaffordable in Segunda, so SD Huesca are already looking for a way out, something that the Catalan team wants to take advantage of to replace Diego Lopez.
The goalkeeper from La Rioja has been linked with a move to the Catalan side for some days now, although in the last few days this interest has intensified. Alvaro has a termination clause of 10 million euros, but according to 'Mundo Deportivo', Huesca would accept offers for a lower amount.
