Guardiola's track record precedes him in the head-to-head dugout clash prior to the Champions League final. Pep beats Inzaghi 30-8 in finals, but the Italian coach has only lost one, precisely the first one, in his entire career.
'Kun' Aguero, former Cityzen star, gave his opinion about the Spanish coach in a discussion with 'ESPN' before the transcendental continental final between Manchester City and Inter Milan.
"Pep and I started off quite love-hate, but I ended up understand him and him me. We ended up working together to try and take the club to the highest level", stated the former Barcelona player.
"Guardiola knew I wasn't so much about pressing. One day he called me into his office and said, 'I know there are things you're not going to do, so I'm going to put you with a defender, and that defender doesn't come out playing'," added the former Argentina international.
Finally, Aguero looked back on the signing of Julian Alvarez by the Sky Blues: "I always said he was going to like it. I know Pep, and in the moments where the team is stuck, Julian gives aggression and that pushes the midifeld and the defense".
