Agreement reached between Wolves and Sevilla for Rafa Mir

After days of uncertainty, Julen Lopetegui finally gets his wish of landing a striker. Rafa Mir is a step away from becoming a Sevilla player, as 'Marca' announced that the player will travel to the Andalusian capital in the next few hours.
The agreement between Sevilla and Wolves was reached for a fee of 16 million euros. The striker will sign a long-term deal at his new club, keeping him there until 2026.
The option of signing Joselu diminished over the last few days, leaving the sporting directive to radically change their strategy and instead go for the silver medalist with Spain at the Tokyo Olympics. His arrival will serve as both competiton for and a compliment to En-Nesyri, who looked like he would be left practically on his own facing the imminent departure of Luuk de Jong.
Mir's numbers with SD Huesca last term were difficult to beat - despite not managing to keep the club in Spain's top flight, he scored an impressive total of 16 goals in 39 matches.
