Five European Cups
Liverpool are the fourth club on the list of European Cup winners, behind Bayern Munich, AC Milan and the almighty Real Madrid. The Reds' third continental trophy was achieved after facing the latter in the final.

The 2001 UEFA Cup Final
Another crazy final with a great comeback involiving Liverpool. The Reds managed to beat Alaves in the end.
The Heysel Avalanche
It is not just good moments in Liverpool's history. In 1985, 39 football fans lost their lives at the Heysel Stadium before the European Cup Final between Liverpool and Juventus.
The Hillsborough tragedy
Only four years later, tragedy struck again. Close to one-hundred people lost their lives in a match against Nottingham Forest, because of a lack of security measures and the stadium's capacity being exceeded.
