Roman Neustadter has been given the all clear to feature for Russia during Euro 2016 after his citizenship was granted on Wednesday.
Neustadter has been included in Leonid Slutsky's 23-man squad for the tournament in France this summer, having committed his international future to Russia despite having two caps to his name with Germany from back in 2012 and 2013.
The news will come as a relief to Slutsky who already had to make a change to his squad following Alan Dzagoev's injury at the weekend.
