On Monday Brazil took to the training field for the first time this month, after the majority of Dunga’s 24-man squad had arrived in New Jersey over the weekend.
A light session at the Red Bull Training Facility was conducted under a sweltering sun as Dunga put those present through a familiar counter-attacking drill which places emphasis on playing short, quick passes before exploding into a different zone.
Neymar, Philippe Coutinho, Douglas Costa, Roberto Firmino, Kaka, Rafinha, Willian and Hulk made up one team while the other consisted of defensive players.
David Luiz, Douglas Santos, Fabinho and Lucas Moura skipped that part of the session to hit the weight room. Lucas Lima, Miranda and Elias hadn’t arrived and are expected to join the group on Tuesday.
Goalkeeping coach Taffarel worked separately with Alisson, Marcelo Grohe and Jefferson.
