Carlos Quieroz's reign as Colombia manager got off to a winning start against Japan, as Radamel Falcao scored to help secure victory. One of the side's protagonists, Yerry Mina, has said he is very happy with the new manager's appointment.
"The 'teacher' has given us confidence. In the first training session he spoke to us as he wished. That was key to creating a team solidarity," said the centre-back.
On their next opponents, South Korea, Mina said: "they're a team that are very good on the ball. They have a lot of players that like to attack. We have to play our own game and stay compact."
One of his oppoonents will be Son Heung-Min, of whom Mina said: "We play in the same league. Every few days I see him because he is a great player. He's quick, powerful, we have to be very careful with him. He can shoot with either foot, left or right."
