The German goalkeeper has reviewed all this in the presentation of the book 'Relatos Solidarios', an act which has been able to collect almost one million euros for a good cause.
In the question and answer session, Ter Stegen was asked about the major error which De Gea committed and which meant Leo Messi made it 2-0 at the Camp Nou.
"We are all human and I found it difficult to celebrate the goal because he is a fellow goalkeeper. I said to him it's ok and that life goes on. It could have happened to me," he stated.
Regarding the semi-final against Liverpool, the goalkeeper said it was a very nice tie: "We will have our chances to win it, but first we have to do well in the league games which preced it. The Champions League is something special."
"I'm asked a lot about the treble. I see that people have the feeling that I can count on them and I am very happy," he continued.
On the subject of possibly retiring at Barcelona, Ter Stegen did not want to talk too much about his future: "You never know and you never know what is going to happen because first I look to be happy. I would like to be here many more years."
To finish, Ter Stegen was full of praise for Leo Messi. "I have been here a few years now and he is always capable of surprising me. He can make the difference like no one else can."
