"We need to have confidence to play against Madrid"

Liverpool will face Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie. However, the Reds are left with a mountain to climb as the first leg ended 5-2 for the Spanish side.

Fabinho knows that his team will have to fight hard to try to qualify for the quarter-finals: "We have to have confidence to play this game because we really need to change a big result that was made in the first game.

"But I think we have to really enjoy this game, we will play at the Bernabeu, a really nice stadium to play [in], a really big Champions League game. We have to try to enjoy the game. I think it will be important to not concede, to be intelligent in the game. We can’t be desperate early in the game because I think we have to be calm in every situation," he added.

"I think some of the players [who] lived this experience know it’s possible to change a result against a really good team. We have to take positive things to bring to this game and try to make history as well," Fabinho concluded.
