One of Real Madrid's captains, Dani Carvajal, was in charge of representing the squad at the press conference ahead of the semi-final against Bayern Munich. The full-back showed the dressing room's enthusiasm for another final.
"It's a semi-final, in your own stadium, there's little more to say. The team are motivated and our concentration is at its maximum. We'll try to beat them and be in the final," said the defender in the press room.
Carvajal stressed that they are having ‘a great year’ and that they are ‘excited about the Champions League, two games away from lifting it again’. "The dressing room is aware, we dream of the 15th", he claimed.
The full-back played down the significance of the moment when they will receive the league championship trophy: "We are focused on winning and when they give us the cup, we'll celebrate. It doesn't affect the celebration of the title, we're indifferent to it."
"Self-demanding is what it means to wear the shirt of the best club in the world. Not celebrating was the best thing to do, there is a vital game and there will be time to celebrate at the weekend. That's why we took the decision," said Carvajal on why the party was postponed.
