Vinicius posts baby picture on Flamengo anniversary

Real Madrid starlet Vinicius Junior has paid tribute to his former club, Flamengo, as part of their 123rd birthday celebrations.

The Brazilian side, based in Rio de Janeiro, have been marking the landmark on Thursday and Vinicius joined in the celebrations with a throwback picture.

The 18-year-old began his money-spinning career at the club and on Thursday he posted a picture which showed him wearing a Flamengo shirt as a baby.

"The mantle at birth, I got used to winning... my greatest heritage is this love for you," he said as he posted the photo on Twitter.

"Congratualtions @Flamengo for 123 years in the first division, many titles and a beautiful story! 40 million of us are in love! Thanks for everything."

Vinicius became one of the team's most famous sons when he joined Real Madrid for £38million back in 2017, when he was only 16.

He has since settled in at the Bernabeu and this season the forward has amassed four goals and five assists in only 10 appearances for Los Blancos.
