Vincent Kompany and Leroy Sané compete in Man City training session

Training appears relatively calm with Pep Guardiola's Manchester City ahead of Sunday's Community Shield clash with Chelsea. In yesterday's training session, City skipper Vincent Kompany, 32, placed a bet with winger Leroy Sané, 22, that he could not score with his right foot. Caught on video by the club, Kompany remarked "If it's even on target I'll bring you your lunch today. Just on target." 

Sure to prove the Belgian defender wrong, Sané stepped up to make his shot count and hit the back of the net.

With the majority of the squad back in training except for Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling, who faced each other in the World Cup's third-place play off, City's attention turns to this weekend's game with Chelsea and the following Sunday's Premier League opener against Arsenal at the Emirates.
