VIDEO: Ten Hag hails McTominay's decisive impact in Chelsea match
Scott McTominay scored twice as Manchester United beat Chelsea 2-1 on Wednesday to ease the pressure on manager Erik ten Hag and put Mauricio Pochettino under the spotlight.
The 26-year-old swept home his fifth goal of the season to become United's top goalscorer in the Premier League on 19 minutes. A sixth win in eight league games lifts United up to sixth and within three points of champions Manchester City in fourth.
"He did great. He had an important role to play. He is a very good player. In possession he was very dynamic. He scored two and could have had more," Ten Hag told reporters at Wednesday's post-match press conference.
