Tottenham travelled to the Netherlands to take on Vitesse in a Conference League clash on Thursday.
Spurs named a much changed XI for the match from the victory at Newcastle and players such as Kane, Son and Lucas Moura did not even travel. After a goalless first half at the Gelredome, Maximilian Wittek put the Dutch side ahead 12 minutes from time. Tottenham could not find a leveller and lost 1-0. Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo spoke after the game and he defended the decision to leave several star players at home. Have a listen to his comments in the video above!
Tottenham are 5th on 15 points while West Ham are 7th on 14 points.
