The young Dutchman arrived with a big price-tag and an even bigger reputation. The 21-year-old appears to have risen to this pressure, and has constantly performed at a high level whilst under the spotlight.

De Ligt has already made 75 appearances for the 'Vecchia Signora', with some of this campaign's most important matches still to play. In that time he has accumulated five goals and an assist, which isn't a bad record for a centre-back!

His and Juventus' attention now turns to a key battle against Milan in Serie A this Sunday. The two sides are fourth and fifth respectively but are level on points, both with each and with Atalanta in third. With things so tight in the race for top four, nothing less than a win will do for Pirlo's men!
