Spain faced Italy in the first semi-final of Euro 2020 at Wembley on Tuesday.
After an even first half which saw Spain have the better of the play, Italy took the lead against the run of play through Federico Chiesa in the 60th minute. That led to Spain needing a leveller and Alvaro Morata found it nine minutes from time after a lovely one-two with Dani Olmo. The game went to extra-time and Spain were playing better. However, they could not find a way through and the game went to penalties.
Locatelli saw his spot kick saved, but Dani Olmo blazed over the crossbar for Spain. All of the other penalties were scored until Alvaro Morata was denied by Donnarumma and Jorginho netted the decisive penalty to give Italy a 4-2 shootout win.
After the game, Spain coach Luis Enrique talked about the game and was full of praise for Pedri. Have a listen to his comments in the video above!
