France took on Belgium in a Euro 2022 Group D clash last Thursday in Rotherham.

The French took the lead inside six minutes when Kadidiatou Diani scored. However, the Belgians drew level in the 36th minute through Janice Cayman. Parity was short lived though as Griedge Mbock Bathy restored France's advantage five minutes later. Belgium went out in search of an equaliser in the second half, but they were unable to find one. In fact, they ended the contest with 10 players after Amber Tysiak's late red card. Have a listen to France coach Corinne Diacre's comments after the game in the video above!

The result meant France qualified for the quarter-finals as group winners with a game to spare while Belgium, who face Italy on last day, are battling for second spot with the Italians and Iceland.
