Van Dijk seen in Dubai training ball work with Lovren

Van Dijk took a key step to get back on the field of play: he is already playing with the ball. The Liverpool defender, who will probably not be back on the pitch for the rest of the season, was working out at the NAS Sports Complex in Dubai with the ball at his feet.

This is a huge step forward, as until now he has only been seen doing physical exercises without the ball. In the picture published by Paul Gorst, correspondent of 'The Liverpool Echo', he can be seen wearing blue boots on a practically empty grass pitch.

There, he met a former teammate of his: Dejan Lovren. The latter, in fact, shared a photograph on his social networks in which they both appear. 

"It was great to see my old team-mate Van Dijk today. He has a tough injury, but he is stronger than ever. Soon, brother, you'll be at your best again. Good luck to Liverpool in today's derby, we are with you," wrote the Zenit player.
