Upamecano wants to be sold and Real Madrid lie in wait

'AS' revealed Real Madrid's interest in Dayot Upamecano, the promising RB Leipzig defender. At the age of 21, he has already made more than 100 appearances for the German outfit in three and a half years.

Upamecano's contract ends in 2021, a fact which benefits Real Madrid, as well as any club interested in his services such as Barcelona, Arsenal and AC Milan. The defender is putting pressure on RB Leipzig to sell him, 'AS' reports.

Due to the fact his intention is not to renew his contract, RB Leipzig are running the risk of not receiving a cent for a player with potential and who has been at the club since he was a teenager. Real Madrid like Upamecano because he would have lots of French people at the club to help him (Zidane, Benzema, Mendy...). His agent is also the same as Toni Kroos'.

Real Madrid have not taken their eyes off Upamecano. The footballer wants to make the step up in his career and is putting pressure on Leipzig to get the move he wants.
