Chelsea are preparing themselves for the summer market. One of the priorities will be to sign defenders. Chelsea want a bombproof defence.
Various players have been linked especially for the CB position. José María Giménz joins the likes of Upamecano, RB Leipzig, and Süle, Bayern, in being linked.
The 'Telegraph' assures that Chelsea have reportedly set their eyes on Giménez. The Uruguayan was previously on the Chelsea agenda and his name seems to remain intact.
Although injuries have stood in his way of late, Chelsea have a place for him. If he can, says the British newspaper, Tuchel will try to leave Simeone without the experienced centre-back.
They won't have it easy to convince him. Giménez has said on more than one occasion that he is happy at Atlético, where he recently reached 200 matches.
