Tottenham preparing for £170million clearout

Tottenham are well known for their strict budgeting when it comes to transfers and contracts, and for many people this is the reason for their inability to properly challenge for the Premier League title. However, it is this financial planning that has gotten them to the top of English football on a fraction of the budgets enjoyed by teams such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea.
The club are not afraid to sell a player if it's financially advantageous, and it seems that this summer there could be more than just one player on their way out. As reported by the 'Daily Mail', Tottenham are prepared to get rid of up to four key players in summer, as they look to bring in funds that can be used to bolster their squad.
The English outlet states that 'Spurs' would be willing to listen to offers for Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld, Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele when the summer market opens, and they will use the money generated from these sales to bring in 'winning' players.
It is said that Rose, Wanyama and Alderweireld could all bring in around £50m each, while Dembele is worth in the region of £20m, due to his contract being one year from expiry.
If this money is reinvested into the squad it could allow Spurs to bring in some real quality into the side, however many fans will be dubious over the idea of letting what are key players for the team go. While Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld have both been pushed to the side after attempting to force exits from the club, Dembele and Wanyama have been big members of the team over the past few seasons, and it will not necessarily be easy to replace them.
