FT: Spurs 1-1 Man Utd. The points are shared after a 1-1 draw between Tottenham and Manchester United. Bergwijn gave Spurs the lead in the first half with a powerful shot that De Gea couldn't keep out despite getting a hand to it. Pogba came on in the second half and won a penalty after being brought down by Dier which Bruno Fernandes converted. They were awarded another penalty in the 90th minute, but it was rightly overruled by VAR.
  • 90'
OFF THE POST! Shaw's picks out Ighalo on the edge of the box and he spots Greenwood in a lot of space on the right. He takes the shot quickly as Davies is getting back and his low shot bounces off the outside of the far post.
  • 90'
NO PENALTY! VAR has had a look at the replays and Dier doesn't actually make contact with Bruno Fernandes before the midfielder falls to ground. The decision is overturned and Spurs have the ball.
  • 90'
Both teams are well aware of the value of a precious win. As a result, added time has been a hectic nonsense.
  • 89'
Final change for United now and it's a defensive one as Bailly comes on to replace McTominay.
  • 87'
McTominay is forced to hack a Lo Celso cross behind for a corner. The set piece is cleared, but Greenwood clips Lo Celso’s ankle, and this is another free kick, 25 yards out, in a position just to the left of centre.
  • 85'
Spurs have another free-kick on the left in a dangerous position and it's Son that's standing over it. He tries to curl his cross around the United wall, but McTominay sticks out a leg to deflect it and the away side come away with the ball.

    GOAAAAAALLLLL!!!! BRUNO FERNANDES!
  • 80'
PENALTY TO UNITED! It's clever footwork from Pogba on the right as he dribbles past Dier to get into the box. The defender is struggling to catch him and ends up bringing him to ground and the referee points to the spot straight away... Not all that sure about that decision.
  • 78'
United make another double change, replacing Martial and a limping Lindelof with Ighalo and Matic. McTominay will drop back to deputise in the injured Lindelof’s stead.
  • 76'
Son switches play out to Aurier on the right and he plays a clever one-two with Kane to get himself into more space. He sets himself to cross it into the middle, but Shaw gets across to him quickly to block it.
  • 71'
A double change for Spurs, as Bergwijn and Lamela make way for Lo Celso and Gedson Fernandes.
  • 66'
BRILLIANT SAVE! Shaw does really well to get away from Aurier and square the ball to Martial in the middle of the box. He sets himself before hitting his shot at goal and Lloris gets across to tip the swerving shot wide.
  • 65'
GOOD CHANCE! Fernandes turns with the ball and plays a throughball into Martial on the right of the box. His first touch takes him away from Davies, but the defender recovers well to slide in and block his low shot.
  • 63'

  • 62'
Ole has seen enough: James and an unhappy, head-shaking Fred are replaced by Greenwood and Pogba.
  • 58'
The referee plays an advantage after Maguire brings down Lamela as Kane picks up the ball on the left wing. He plays a great cross into the box to Son, but Lindelof is covering him and makes a good interception.
  • 54'
CLOSE! Fernandes starts the move in his own half and plays a one-two with Martial to get into a shooting position. He hits the shot first time when he gets it back on the right and his low effort is just wide of the far post.
  • 49'
Martial has only had nine touches so far tonight, Kane ten. Fair enough, it happens to strikers sometimes. But Sissoko’s only touched the ball ten times, too. He’s playing in the centre of midfield! Mourinho won't be happy...

Back underway in the Tottenham Hotspur stadium!
  • 45'
HT: Tottenham 1-0 Man Utd. Mourinho will be pleased with how his side performed in the first half and Spurs looked dangerous every time they went forward. He'll be hoping they can keep the pressure on United after the break. As for Solskjaer, his team have created some good chances, but they've struggled to get in behind Spurs at times. He could benefit from making a change at half-time to try and switch things up.
  • 45'
Fernandes turns to get away from Winks and although he's a long way out from goal, he decides to have a shot. It's a good hit from the midfielder, but it's straight at Lloris who holds onto it.
  • 43'
Maguire's clearance on a corner falls to Winks on the edge of the box and the midfielder hits the shot first time on the volley. It's a wild effort though and it flies high and wide of the top-left corner.

  • 37'
Spurs are closing United down high up the field and putting them under pressure to clear their lines quickly which is forcing the away side into making some sloppy passes.
  • 31'
SAVE! Bergwijn cuts inside and chips a great cross to Son on the left of the box. He's unmarked and heads his effort on target but De Gea is quickly off his line and tips the ball over the crossbar.
  • 30'
Fernandes does swing a cross into the box and Rashford is waiting in the middle. Sanchez reaches it ahead of him though and a deflection off the defender sends it towards the bottom-right corner, but Lloris gets down quickly to push it away.
  • 28'
United were in the process of gaining the upper hand, but they’ve gone behind! Bergwijn picks up a Sissoko header, just inside the United half. He drives down the right, steps inside, leaving Maguire behind, and batters a shot through De Gea and into the right-hand side of the net! It’s a hell of a run, and stunning finish, though the keeper could have done better.

  • 25'
James overhits his initial cross into the box but Rashford recovers it and touches it onto Fernandes. He drills his low shot towards the near post from the left of the box, but Lloris gets across to hold onto it.
  • 22'
Fernandes whips a ball in from the right. Sanchez’s clearing header is hopeless, and falls at the feet of Rashford, ten yards out just to the left of goal. His low drive, angled towards the bottom right, is kicked away adroitly by Lloris. United quickly come again, Fred having a batter from distance. Lloris deals with that one easily.
  • 19'
Rashford swings one in from the left. Davies is forced to head out for a corner. Fernandes has two goes, and neither of them are particularly good. Spurs clear their lines.
  • 15'
Lamela finds himself in some space on the left wing this time but plays his cross into Kane too early once again. It takes a deflection off Wan-Bissaka and De Gea comes off his line to collect it.
  • 13'
Spurs have the first shot of the match as Son picks up the ball just outside the box. He keeps it low, but there's no power on it and it's a comfortable save for De Gea at his near post.
  • 9'
Lamela picks up the ball in the centre circle and should send Son clear down the middle. United’s defence is all over the shop! But Lamela dillies and dallies, making what looks like a simple pass extremely hard. When he eventually tries an elaborate chip, Son has wandered offside and the pass is wayward anyway. Son should have been bearing down on goal, one on one.
  • 8'
Spurs have a chance to counter-attack and Lamela spots Kane's run through the middle. He plays his throughball low towards the forward, but Maguire makes a good block to intercept it.
  • 6'

  • 2'
United, having got the ball rolling, are on the front foot quickly. A long ball pumped down the middle forces Dier to hack out under pressure from Martial. United commit plenty of men forwards, but lose possession from the throw and Bergwijn threatens to break clear.

As for Ole Solskjaer, his team was having a good run after January signings Bruno Fernandes an Ighalo proved immediately effective, and with Ighalo's loan now extended to January, hopefully we'll see the Nigerian succeed for the club he's followed since he was a child.
  • PRVW
Last time we saw Jose Mourinho he was complaining about how unlucky he'd been with injuries, which is in total fairness, true. With his full team now back, we'll see just how many of Spurs' issues actually had to do with injuries, and not some other serious issues off the pitch.
  • PRVW
It's an interesting clash, not just because of the big names on and off the pitch, or the overarching narrative of the coronavirus pandemic (it feels like it's over, but it's really not folks!).
  • PRVW
Tanguy Ndombele still hasn’t convinced Mourinho he's deserving of a place in the line-up so he's starting on the bench, and Dele Alli is suspended for social-media shenanigans.
  • PRVW
Harry Kane is back, fit for the first time since the beginning of the calendar year. Meanwhile Eric Dier gets the nod ahead of Toby Alderweireld in the Spurs defence. s
  • PRVW
Despite Paul Pogba supposedly being fit again, he only makes the Manchester United bench, while Scott McTominay gets the midfield anchor role ahead of Nemanja Matic. And like Kane, Marcus Rashford plays for the first time since January.
  • PRVW
Let's break those line-ups down, shall we?
  • PRVW
Manchester United starting XI: de Gea, Wan Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, James, Bruno Fernandes, Rashford, Martial.
  • PRVW
Tottenham Hotspur starting XI: Lloris, Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Sissoko, Winks, Son, Lamela, Bergwijn, Kane.
