The Frenchman has struggled with both fitness and form in his debut season at Barcelona, however since returning to full physical fitness, the forward's performances have improved week on week.
Dembele had maybe his best display in a Barcelona shirt yet when Ernesto Valverde's side took on Villarreal on Wednesday, scoring twice towards the end of the game to round off a 5-1 win.
Furthermore, he demonstrated frightening pace to set up the first goal of the game, setting off on a run at a speed of 28.6km/h down the right flank.
Such speed is deadly, but it is even more impressive when you add in the fact that Dembele had the ball at his feet the whole time. The Frenchman picked the ball up around the halfway line, skinning two Villarreal players before setting off towards their goal. His close control and pace allowed him to take a remarkable six opponents out of the game, before attempting a shot on goal.
Disappointingly his attempt was saved, but the keeper's block set up a fairly simple tap-in for Philippe Coutinho to fire home.
After a tricky start to like in Barcelona, Dembele is starting to show why he is worth €115m.
