23 year old Rabiot's urge to leave the French capital has been dubbed a 'big shame' by team mate Thiago Silva, who in turn urged the midfielder to stay with Paris Saint Germain.
It is no secret that should the player be allowed to follow his wishes and run down his contract, a host of big European clubs will be fighting to secure his signature, including some big names in the Premier League. Reportedly leading the race for the Frenchman are Spanish giants Barcelona; although Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool still retain hopes of trying to persuade him to move to England.
Yet while Paris Saint Germain captain, Thiago Silva, has given up hope of the Frenchman signing a new deal with the club, he has expressed his disappointed at the impending departure of the midfielder.
In an interview with 'Telefoot' this week, Silva spoke of the ongoing speculation surrouding Rabiot's future. He said: "I am not saying it is a mistake. I think Adrien and PSG have both decided. It is a shame as he is a good boy, but he has chosen and we must respect it. Now we need a new midfielder as I think it is over with Adrien."
Rabiot is currently being forced to train with PSG's reserves, after telling the club that he will not extend his current contract, which is due to expire this summer.
