"There is no need to compare me with Savinho"

Andalusian winger Bryan Gil said on Tuesday at his presentation as Girona's new player that it is "a destination that every player would want to choose" and the ideal place to continue his career because it is a young team, with ambition.

The 23-year-old argued that he chose Girona because of the trust placed in him and the style of Michel Sanchez. He also said that the team achieved an incredible and historic feat last season with third place in La Liga and qualification for the Champions League.

He also commented that the club has a very ambitious project, "of young players with a lot of projection". He said that Savio Moreira, who has joined Manchester City, had an "exceptional campaign" and is a player he admires for his courage, but added that "there is no need to compare".

On a personal level, he also admitted that he wants to try to improve his goalscoring record because he struggles to score, and that he is an ambitious player and cannot be at a club where he has no opportunities.
