"There are two candidates in the league: Atlético and Real Madrid"

Atlético Madrid were smiling after their win over Getafe and Barcelona and Real Madrid's draws. Pedja Mijatovic, ex-Madrid player and current commentator, spoke about it. He underlined his vision when he spoke to 'El Larguero' de la 'Cadena SER'.

"Madrid's draw? It is unexpected if we consider the enormous difference in football quality of the two teams. At the moment, Atleti are the most regular team, they know what they want", he said.

"From what we have seen so far, there are two candidates in La Liga: Atlético and Real Madrid", Mijatovic added, who ruled out the fight of Barcelona.

He fell in love again with Luka Modric, who continues to perform at the highest level despite his age. "A footballer has to live football as Luka does, live for this profession".

And he compared his attitude with an ex-Madrid player: "When we signed Cannavaro for Madrid we did it not only because of his level, but also so that young people would take him as an example".
