The three clubs still in the race to sign Upamecano

Upamecano has made some mistakes this season, but they have not affected his football at all. At the age of 22, he is a nailed on starter for Leipzig and wanted by many top European clubs. 

Next summer, the central defender will have a buyout clause of 42 million euros which makes his signing for a top European club possible. 

According to 'AS', there are three clubs who have stayed in the race for Upamecano and they are playing their own particular match to persuade the young star. 

On the other hand, Bayern are reportedly talking to the defender, but Rummenigge said there are two other clubs in the fight for him which are Chelsea and Liverpool. 

Chelsea are looking to reinforce and guarantee they have a good defence in the future. Liverpool need defenders because of Van Dijk's injury and the lack of players available.
